This will be Cade's first Christmas. Of course, he's not old enough to appreciate all that comes with it. When it comes to presents on Christmas morning, I'm confident Cade will be content with some wrapping paper and maybe a bow. Thanks to GG, all four of us now have stockings, and they're hung by the chimney with care.
The only question is... what will Santa fill them with?
Christmastime wouldn't be complete without a Christmas tree. A few weeks ago, we set out to find one in the woods of El Dorado County. Handily, this tree farm was quite close to a very good winery.
Looks good, eh? (I mean the tree, of course.)
A few weeks later, Blake's preschool held its annual Christmas party. Here's a picture of Blake, with his class, eagerly but patiently, awaiting Santa's arrival.
Finally, the big man showed up!
Each kid got a chance to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what he or she wants this year. There were a few requests for dolls, cats, and skateboards. Blake told him he wants roller skates. Um....
Blake and Cade also got a chance to visit Santa in Old Sacramento. This was the best pic we could muster, but since this is Cade's first -- the photo was well worth it!
The boys also got to see Mrs. Claus before we all boarded the Polar Express!
All aboard!

And last, but not least, we took one last trip into Old Sacramento for the Theatre of Lights.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
PEACE TO EVERYONE.
